Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
This policy explains how Northline News Club collects, uses, and shares personal information when you browse our site, place or manage an order, request support, or otherwise interact with our services. If this policy and our Terms of Service address the same privacy issue differently, this policy controls.
Personal information we handle
Personal information is information that identifies you or can reasonably be connected with you. It does not include information that has been anonymized or de-identified so that it can no longer be linked to a person. Depending on how you use the site, we may handle:
- Contact and fulfillment details, such as your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and delivery address.
- Order and transaction details, including products viewed or purchased, cart activity, order numbers, payment status, activation, delivery, cancellation, and refund history. This can include a pending order created when checkout begins, even if payment is not completed.
- Messages you send us, including support requests, feedback, and any information you choose to include in them.
- Device and usage data, such as IP address, browser and device type, network information, site interactions, and technical logs.
Where the information comes from
We collect personal information from three main sources:
- directly from you when you shop, check out, or contact us;
- automatically from your browser or device through logs, local storage, cookies, and similar technology; and
- from payment, commerce, publication, delivery, support, and other service partners that help us operate the store and fulfill orders.
What happens during checkout
When you continue to checkout, the contact, billing, delivery, and cart details you enter are sent to Carto, our commerce and order-management provider, so an order record can be created before payment. If you leave before paying, that record may remain in a pending or unpaid state for support, fraud prevention, reconciliation, and legally required recordkeeping.
How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- process payments and provide order confirmations;
- activate digital access and arrange print delivery where applicable;
- manage orders, changes, cancellations, returns, and refunds;
- remember your cart and recently viewed products on your device;
- answer questions and provide customer support;
- maintain, troubleshoot, personalize, and improve the site;
- protect customers and our services by preventing fraud, misuse, security incidents, and other unlawful activity;
- comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Cookies and device storage
Our storefront uses browser storage to keep your bag and recently viewed products available on the same device. Our hosting and payment providers may also use cookies or similar technology for security, checkout, diagnostics, and service delivery. You can clear or block this technology in your browser, although parts of the site or checkout may then work differently.
When we disclose information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Recipients may include:
- payment processors, commerce and order-management providers, hosting and security providers, and customer-support vendors;
- publishers, subscription-activation partners, and print-delivery providers that need information to fulfill your purchase;
- professional advisers, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is required or permitted by law;
- a buyer, successor, or other participant in a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or similar business transaction; and
- other parties when you direct us or give us consent.
Based on the services currently used by this storefront, we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-site targeted advertising.
Third-party services and links
Other companies involved in checkout, fulfillment, or linked websites apply their own privacy notices to information they control. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of an unaffiliated site simply because our services link to it.
Children's information
Our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information to us may contact us to request its deletion.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system or transmission method is completely secure. Please do not send sensitive payment or identity information through ordinary email. We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and tax records, comply with legal duties, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may be entitled to ask for access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may also have rights to restrict or object to certain processing or withdraw consent. If our practices change to include a legally defined sale, sharing, or targeted advertising activity, applicable opt-out rights will also be available. We may still send non-promotional communications needed to confirm or support orders.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where local law allows, subject to proof of authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If you disagree with our response, you may contact us to appeal and may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
International processing
Our providers and fulfillment partners may process information outside the country where you live. Where required, we use recognized legal safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections.
Policy updates
We may revise this policy when our services, practices, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date, and we will provide any additional notice required by law.
